- Medicare's windows are the same in every state: Open Enrollment runs October 15 – December 7 for coverage starting January 1, and people already in a Medicare Advantage plan get one change between January 1 and March 31.
- Nevada's Medigap birthday rule
- If you already have a Medigap policy, you get a window of at least 60 days starting the first day of your birthday month to switch to a plan with the same or fewer benefits, with no health questions.
- Free state counseling
- Nevada's Medicare Assistance Program (the state's SHIP) gives free, unbiased Medicare counseling at 1‑800‑307‑4444.
- Under 65
- Nevada runs its own marketplace, Nevada Health Link, instead of HealthCare.gov. That's where income-based subsidies apply.
